Salmon and Chicken Stock

This morning we woke up to the hearty smell of chicken stock. It had been cooking all today yesterday, and it still had half a day left to simmer away. I admire the dark orange color after it cooks for so long. Andrew left for work this morning, and then baby and I had a pretty productive day again. Today's organizing project was books. We have 4 large boxes of books, including a 4-shelved bookshelf, filled with books of all sizes. Plenty were added to our "donate" pile :)

We had some roasted walnuts today. Yum Yum.

This chandelier photo was accidentally taken while sitting at the dining room table. I like it :)

Tired, but happy, me! I took a 2.5 hour {much needed} nap with baby soon after taking this. This late night habit needs some work again I think.

Healthy, delicious chicken stock after 30-32 hours of cooking. Love the colors.

Andrew came home tonight from another long, busy day at work. This entire week has been extremely busy for him. He had his yearly review and his boss gave him positive feedback, so that was nice to hear. Honeywell hired the right guy :) Tonight's dinner was salmon patties with tarter sauce, steamed cauliflower and green beans. Baby loved the salmon! I'm so thankful he likes healthy food.

Fish scales! Cool :)

Baby's little plate.

Tarter sauce.

He still uses his middle finger as his index finger. So funny :) These salmon pieces were gone within seconds.
