Andrew and Esther

Andrew and Esther got to play together for the first time this weekend! [February doesn't count because they were too young to notice each other.] Esther is the six-month-old daughter of Seth and Joy Clendenning [cousins of Andrew]. They stayed at our place with Joy's mom Friday through Saturday for Josiah and Hannah's wedding. These photos were taken on Sunday when we got together for a final time after the wedding. We had to keep pulling Andrew back because he wanted to pull her hair long, beautiful hair...it was hard to catch them both smiling at the same time! Oh well, they're both cute with tears or grins :)

New Toilet Flusher in Town

Yep...baby flushed the toilet today...for the first time...on his own! And once he heard the noise, he had to repeat and repeat and repeat. Life is definitely beginning to get more interesting around here :) He hasn't quite noticed that the toilet paper roll can rotate. He touches the roll and then maneuvers over to something more interesting -- like the shampoo and conditioner bottles. He loves to push them into the empty bathtub to watch and hear them fall. Wonder what next week will bring!

Baby in a Tie

Since baby gets to see his dad put a tie on for work each morning, I thought I'd let him try it out :)

Messy Carrot Baby

Another carrot attempt last night. We let him touch it all himself without our help. What a mess!! And an even messier mess in his diaper this morning...

Little Discoveries

Baby has discovered he can open cabinet doors and drawers on top of holding onto the oven door handle and taking off the hand towels. He discovered the bathroom drawer in the bathroom a half hour ago, unexpectedly finding Mr. Rubber Ducky inside :) He just loves that duck. Now he will be looking for little rewards behind every drawer and door. Looks like it's time for cabinet locks!

Weekend Family Time

We love being able to spend time together on weekends now, thanks to Andrew's new job :) I like watching Andrew and baby wrestle and laugh together. My attempt for us for take a new family photo to update our blog wasn't working very well though. Baby wasn't in the mood for pictures. He did surprise us with one good one, and it would be the one with my head cut off...
