Six Months Old

I just got done combing baby's hair, and yes, I think the curls are staying. He turned six months old on Monday (February 27th). Doesn't he look so cute with his curly hair, big smile, and two teeth? :)

Spit-Up King

Andrew has to be to work earlier than usual this week, so he really wanted to get to bed earlier last night; but when you're a parent, things don't always go your way. As you can see in the image below, baby decided to spit up and rub his face in it real good as soon as we turned the lights off. We thought it was pretty funny :)

Winter Vacation (being updated)

On our way to our first winter vacation to northern Wisconsin! We left at 7:15 am. (The original plan was to leave at 3 am, but that didn't happen.)

//I love how Andrew's never ashamed to hold my purses and the girly-looking diaper bag.

//Baby wonders why we're packed and leaving so early in the morning. He hadn't even taken his morning nap...

//While daddy was inside Woodman's baby and I played in the car with his camera.

//Driving through Milwaukee was fun. I love the lit-up tunnels.

//Baby sleeps most of the way there!

//I was having fun with my camera phone while baby slept.

//We're almost there! A half hour before arriving, baby woke up and really wanted to get out of his car seat. I was trying to make him happy, but it wasn't working.

//Our room. Baby and I slept on the bottom mattress, and Andrew slept by the window.

//The cabin we stayed in had three levels. The lower level consisted of a full kitchen, family room and bedrooms with a patio outside the back door. The second level had bedrooms and an entrance seating area. The third level had another seating area along with ping pong and a pool table. This place was pretty large with seven or eight bedrooms, so each family had their own room to sleep in. The weekend was filled with games, talking, eating, laughing, and holding babies (three of them to be exact). Each family was assigned a meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), and each and every meal we had was amazing! I will have to get some recipes from a few people...

The outdoors was incredibly beautiful. Beyond beautiful. A nature photographer's spot for sure. Busy with the little monkey, I couldn't explore and take pictures as long as I wanted to, but I did get a few good ones of the family.

Taken on Saturday:

//Cousins; they laughed together a lot

//I love Valerie's serious face

//Valerie and Johanna enjoying the beautiful outdoors

//Pretty Johanna

//Candice smiles for the camera beside a tree

Taken on Sunday:
//Daddy holds baby outside on the bridge. The junior was busy observing the nature around him in the new hat Aunt Priscilla made him.
//Esther Rose (Seth and Joy's almost 2 month old baby) She was sooo cute!
//The little family looks up at the sky and tall trees surrounding them.
//Baby Esther was warm in her fuzzy, pink snow suit.
//Mommy and Daddy kiss; baby cries.
//Sisters laugh together
//Some of the family that got together this weekend. Three families left already, so imagine a group double the size of this + a few more.

//Mom Rose and Dad Bob love each other a lot

//I got Peter! He didn't want his picture taken.
//Our little family, staying warm.
//Joy and her little love bug. I love the sparkle in Esther's eyes.
//Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Tom enjoy their time together in the beautiful scenery

Happy Birthday Kim!

Today is Kim Herrera's birthday! She is a very funny person; it's hard to not laugh when you talk with her because she's so naturally funny (apparently she's funner when she's pregnant, from what people have noticed). She is also very creative; her house is bright, inviting and filled with lovely accents! We hope you enjoy your birthday today, Kim :)

Crawling & Grabbing

Aunt Olivia tried teaching him how to crawl. She told me she'd get him crawling within an hour on his own. Didn't happen. And then you can see baby's crazy grabbing skills. No more holding him at the table...he finally needs a high chair!

Grandma Lewis & Birthday Celebration

Meet Grandma Lewis. She is Tim Lewis' mom, and she is a very funny person. She loved meeting baby for the first time at church :)

We celebrated Hannah's birthday today. Mom Rose decorated very nicely using scrapbook paper.

//Uncle Daniel wanted cute pictures of him with baby.

//Hubby and I
//Andrew shows off his new iPhone.
//Val and I had fun taking pictures together.

Then we (Val and Hannah's friends and I) had a surprise party for Hannah at Applebees. Hannah had no idea anyone would be surprising her. It was fun seeing her surpised and talking with everyone :)

Happy Birthday Tessa and Tori!

Today is Tessa and Tori's 24th birthdays! They're twin sisters and love city life. Tori enjoys writing and modeling while Tessa plans to become a lawyer. They're very funny, intelligent, and beautiful :) Happy birthday to you both!

First Day of Work

I got a new phone with a nice camera, so I think I will have fun recording, too :) Today was Andrew's first day at his new job. While at home baby wanted to grab everything in his sight. He loves playing with the blinds.

 // Just about to walk out the door

// Putting the directions on his phone

 // Saying goodbye and looking good! (no more geek outfit)

// Waving goodbye to baby and telling him to be a good boy

And here's baby playing with the blinds hours later.
