Winter Vacation (being updated)

On our way to our first winter vacation to northern Wisconsin! We left at 7:15 am. (The original plan was to leave at 3 am, but that didn't happen.)

//I love how Andrew's never ashamed to hold my purses and the girly-looking diaper bag.

//Baby wonders why we're packed and leaving so early in the morning. He hadn't even taken his morning nap...

//While daddy was inside Woodman's baby and I played in the car with his camera.

//Driving through Milwaukee was fun. I love the lit-up tunnels.

//Baby sleeps most of the way there!

//I was having fun with my camera phone while baby slept.

//We're almost there! A half hour before arriving, baby woke up and really wanted to get out of his car seat. I was trying to make him happy, but it wasn't working.

//Our room. Baby and I slept on the bottom mattress, and Andrew slept by the window.

//The cabin we stayed in had three levels. The lower level consisted of a full kitchen, family room and bedrooms with a patio outside the back door. The second level had bedrooms and an entrance seating area. The third level had another seating area along with ping pong and a pool table. This place was pretty large with seven or eight bedrooms, so each family had their own room to sleep in. The weekend was filled with games, talking, eating, laughing, and holding babies (three of them to be exact). Each family was assigned a meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), and each and every meal we had was amazing! I will have to get some recipes from a few people...

The outdoors was incredibly beautiful. Beyond beautiful. A nature photographer's spot for sure. Busy with the little monkey, I couldn't explore and take pictures as long as I wanted to, but I did get a few good ones of the family.

Taken on Saturday:

//Cousins; they laughed together a lot

//I love Valerie's serious face

//Valerie and Johanna enjoying the beautiful outdoors

//Pretty Johanna

//Candice smiles for the camera beside a tree

Taken on Sunday:
//Daddy holds baby outside on the bridge. The junior was busy observing the nature around him in the new hat Aunt Priscilla made him.
//Esther Rose (Seth and Joy's almost 2 month old baby) She was sooo cute!
//The little family looks up at the sky and tall trees surrounding them.
//Baby Esther was warm in her fuzzy, pink snow suit.
//Mommy and Daddy kiss; baby cries.
//Sisters laugh together
//Some of the family that got together this weekend. Three families left already, so imagine a group double the size of this + a few more.

//Mom Rose and Dad Bob love each other a lot

//I got Peter! He didn't want his picture taken.
//Our little family, staying warm.
//Joy and her little love bug. I love the sparkle in Esther's eyes.
//Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Tom enjoy their time together in the beautiful scenery

  2. It was a lot of fun. It was too short of a trip...Abby, you would have LOVED taking pictures there. I didn't have much time to take pictures, it drove me crazy, but I didn't show it :) lol
