Shopping Day #2

Two weeks ago's shopping trip felt like a vacation. This week's felt like a huge adventure. I had a feeling it might be more difficult this time because I hadn't changed his diaper or fed him before leaving this morning because we ran out of time. So, I said I'd change him at the store. We arrived at the store at 8:30AM and it worked out well changing him in the bathroom, and we made it half way through the store until..."bababa...MAAAAAAA....MAAAAAAA!!!"  Everyone stared at us as I tried pushing him around a few more isles. He gave me the 'feed me now!' look, so I left the cart with the managers and carried him back out to the car in the extremely heavy carseat to feed him. We got back in and we began our shopping again. We went to the spice isle, and he started complaining again.

So...I got out his rings and he had fun :) People walked by and smiled at how cute he was. But it only lasted for 2 isles.

So...I gave him his book, and he liked it :) Two men came up to him, touched his feet and said how cute he was. One of them said "Wow, he's reading a book already; he's smarter than me!" But his happiness only lasted for 1 isle.

So...I took him out and carried him around while managing to push the heavy cart. I forgot I had thrown my wrap carrier out of the diaper bag before we left for the store :/ I won't forget it next time!

At the register, we met a little toddler girl and her 3 month-old brother :) As soon as we got in the car, he fell asleep. It lasted long enough for me to get the groceries in and put them away. Now he's crawling all over the place and grabbing cords, cords, and more cords. What a morning!

Birthday Photos from the Andrews

My Andrews made these homemade birthday photo cards for me! I am sooo happy I got them for my birthday :) Andrew set this up all by himself! I am impressed.

Carrots!

Today was the day we gave carrots another try. The first two times were a fail...but this third attempt went much better; I used the blender this time and added some water to make the carrots nice and smooth :) He grabbed the spoon about ten times and put it straight in his mouth. After several of his icky faces, I got a smile :)

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Today is Olivia's birthday, and we hope she has a very fun day! She is now nineteen years young. Olivia enjoys being with her family and close friends, shopping, and baking. She also enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and decorating her bedroom. She plans on going to college to study business and/or accounting, and we wish her the best in her pursuit!

Baby Laughs in Crib

I tried to make baby laugh all day yesterday. I love hearing his laugh. But, of course, as soon as daddy gets home, you can't get him to stop laughing at anything he does. This video will make you laugh :)

Little Speed Crawler

See?? I told you he moves fast at home! He won't move this fast in front of other people, so I secretly recorded him for proof :)

First Grocery Shopping Outing

Me and the little bug got to experience our first grocery shopping outing together this morning since Andrew began his first day carpooling to work with his friend. Baby slept most of the time, and I actually got to take my time walking around (I'm smiling really big as I type this) because you know how men are with stores...in and out! I definitely got a workout going back and forth down the isles since I was just getting back into 'grocery shopping mode' and was forgetting where certain foods were.

Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa!

Today is Dad/Grandpa's birthday! He is forty nine (from what I read on Facebook), which means he may be dreading next year's birthday. So, we decided to make him an unforgettable birthday card this year to end his 40's. He loves to spend time with his family, wrestle with his sons, and eat in his wife's kitchen.

Happy Birthday Josiah!

Happy Birthday Bobby!

Today is Bobby's 27th birthday. He is home visiting from the army this week and the next. So far we have enjoyed seeing him, and he has enjoyed seeing baby Andrew's new skills since he last saw him in October. Bobby enjoys hanging out with family and friends, playing computer games, and eating poppy seed bread (made by Mom Rose).

Military Crawling

Baby is officially crawling with his knees and elbows! He started yesterday afternoon. It only took him a few tries at moving with his elbows before he became pro. Now he fights to get out of my arms to go in the direction he wants, and he doesn't stop once he takes off...His three favorite landing spots are Andrew's bookcase, Andrew's computer, and the lamp.

First Bed Fall

Baby's pre-crawling skills have definitely improved [ and I don't know if I'm ready for it yet ]. He gets up on his hands and knees now and we have seen him move one hand forward before falling down. Sadly, he experienced his first bed fall this morning. Around 8 am, he was moving around on the bed, and all of a sudden I heard a big bang. I looked down on the side of the bed and he was laying on his back crying. His head hit the vent as he came down (that was the bang I heard). I felt bad because I have been doing so good at watching him, and then all of a sudden this happened. But he is not a wimp! His crying did not last very long and his head looks fine :) I gave him a few tests and he passed the 1] grabbing everything test; 2] clapping test; 3] laughing test.
