Applesauce and Chicken Dinner

Our little family loves applesauce. Especially baby. He loves apples in general! A 20 lb. box of delicious organic apples has been sitting on the floor all week--what a huge temptation it has been for him. He enjoyed discovering that the round, green balls were chewy and tasty. Soon enough, he was determined to try his best to sneak and take a sample bite from each apple! I knew right away that I needed to begin adding apples to our diet quickly, so we made some cinnamon applesauce. I think applesauce is one of the Jr.'s top favorite foods. And Andrew and I enjoy it as well--so much that the batch was gone too quickly and it was time for more applesauce!

Wonder who took that bite...?

This afternoon, baby took his usual nap and Andrew decided to join him, so I quickly got as many tasks done as I possibly could; this included making applesauce :) What a treat for baby when he woke up! It's funny because he says, "Ooooo!" whenever he spots food he's interested in tasting

Dinner time came quickly, so we had the thighs and legs of our roasted chicken along with roasted heirloom potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Andrew loves his root beer and his new book
