Memorial Weekend Spent at the Cabin

As a little last minute [much needed] vacation, we spent Sunday and Monday at Andrew's grandparent's cabin. We love the peacefulness, beauty, and nature. The small cabin was shared with the entire Perron family, including grandparents and excluding Hannah [spending time with Josiah/wedding projects] and Bobby [away with army]. Since I sadly forgot my camera, Grandpa Bob gladly took over as the main photographer for the weekend via his phone camera, and Valerie took photos with her camera. Apparently, Peter took some also. So, here you'll see a nice variety of photographs taken by various photographers :)

Little Andrew Updates
It was his 9 month birthday on Sunday! And I was so bad, I didn't realize it was the 27th until Sunday evening...but anyways, he loved the cabin. Andrew took him for his first swim in the lake. As soon as his little feet touched the cold, moving water, his feet took off kicking as though he was ready to run across the lake. He cried every time Andrew took him out of the water :( It was so funny though! He spent time learning new tricks around the cabin, like learning to open Great-Grandma's cabinet drawers and doors...[he has no fun knobs to play with at home], crawling up single steps on his own, taking his first sink bath [other than when he was a newborn], and crawling up walls and then grabbing onto tabletops above his head. I got my workout just looking after him while he was on his missions. And the missions have continued ever since we returned home yesterday. He actually stood up on his own tonight without holding onto anything! Previous to our little trip, Little Drew began sitting up on his own and crawling by use of hands and feet, so he maneuvered around like that at the cabin. I thought he looked like a little bear.

With so many photos and so little time to complete this post, here are a few to begin with:

// This is how baby got himself around.

// We were on our way to the greenhouse Sunday to get Great-Grandma some flowers for her cabin. Baby was thirsty. It was HOT that day. But it was at least 10 degrees hotter in the greenhouse.

// There were sooo many beautiful flowers in there.

//The boys were anxious to get baby's feet wet for the first time in the lake.

// Our little family with our feet in the water for the first time together!

// But daddy wanted to be the first one to swim with him. And little Drew loved it so much! He couldn't get enough of it.
